NOTICE OF A PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING EXTENDING THE TERMINATION DATE OF THE TAX INCREMENT FINANCING PROVISION APPLICABLE TO THE SOUTH BOZEMAN TECHNOLOGY TAX INCREMENT FINANCING DISTRICT BEYOND THE 15TH YEAR BY THE ISSUANCE OF BONDS

CITY OF BOZEMAN, MONTANA

Pursuant to Montana Code Annotated, Title 7, Chapter 15, Parts 42 and 43, as those laws read on December 31, 2012, and pursuant to a public process culminating in an ordinance having an effective date of December 19, 2012, the City Commission (the “Commission”) of the City of Bozeman, Montana created the South Bozeman Technology Tax Increment Financing District (the “District”), as a technology district.  The Commission, following a public hearing and pursuant to a resolution adopted on November 5, 2012, adopted the South Bozeman Technology District Comprehensive Development Plan (the “Plan”).

The Commission intends to issue tax increment revenue bonds that would extend the termination of the tax increment financing provision applicable to the District beyond the 15th year.  In accordance with Montana Code Annotated, Section 7-15-4289, the Commission hereby calls for a public hearing on whether fulfillment of the Plan requires pledging tax increment to the payment of bonds.   

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held on September 22, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. in the Commission Room of City Hall, 121 North Rouse Avenue, Bozeman, Montana, on the matter of considering whether fulfillment of the Plan requires pledging tax increment of the District to the payment of bonds, the issuance of which will have the effect of extending the termination of the tax increment financing provision applicable to the District beyond the 15th year.
