About the Planning Division

The Planning Division of Community Development is primarily responsible for furthering the goals of the Bozeman Community Plan (2020) and maintaining the Bozeman Municipal Code in order to:

  • Promote public health and safety
  • Create a functional community that is beautiful, healthful and efficient
  • Balance the desires of the City Commission, Developers and Individuals in the Community
  • Support economic development

Design Standards Updates

NEW Landscape and Irrigation Design Standards - Ordinance 2155 and Resolution 5586 (PDF) - Landscape and Irrigation Design Standards Manual

Starting on June 15th, 2024, all new construction must adhere to the new Landscape and Irrigation Design Standards. Please see below for more information regarding these new standards
