April 25 - May 3, 2026

The City of Bozeman welcomes individuals and groups to help pick up litter around Bozeman as springtime begins! This time of year, we start to see litter and dog waste from the winter pile up around town, and all that material can make its way into our rivers and streams as the spring rains start. By cleaning up we can keep Bozeman beautiful and healthy for people and critters alike.

How to Participate

  1. Register yourself or your group online, supplies will be available at the Gallatin Valley Earth Festival. CleanUp Registration Form
  2. Pick up your CleanUp Kit (gloves, vests, yellow bags, and instructions) at the Gallatin Valley Earth Day Festival at the Gallatin County Fairgrounds on Saturday, April 25th. The festival starts at 10am but you can pick supplies from 9am to 2pm. If you're not able to make it to the Earth Day Festival, you can request a CleanUp Kit delivery in the registration form.
  3. CleanUp - With a group or on your own all week! There will be a few suggested route maps available with your CleanUp Kit, or pick an area or location you know could use some attention. Use yellow bags for trash and green bags for recyclables. When they are full, leave them on the street curb and the Solid Waste Division will pick them up during the week.
  4. Return Your Safety Vests:
  • Bozeman Public Library - 626 E Main St
  • City Hall - 121 N. Rouse Ave
  • Stiff Building - 20 E. Olive Ave
  • City Shops Complex - 814 N. Bozeman Ave
