Join the City of Bozeman and Friends for a Garden Party!
Mark your calendars and grab your sun hats because our fourth annual Garden Party kicks off on June 6th and were giving away free plants, compost, native seed mixes, and more to all you water conservation warriors!
Here are the details:
1. Garden Party Giveways for City of Bozeman Water Customers
While supplies lasts, residents connected to City of Bozeman water for outdoor watering can take home the following FREE items:
- Three drought tolerant plants
- Up to five gallons of compost- please bring your own bucket!
- Drip irrigation supplies
- Our Newest edition of the Water Smart Plant Guide
- Other raffles and prizes!
Proof of Water Account required! Bring along your paper utility statement or an e-statement. Or, keep things simple and show us your Dropcountr account on your smart phone. Without proof of water account, you will not be permitted to take home free items.
2. Guided Drought Tolerant Garden Tours with the Landscape Designer
Join drought tolerant demonstration garden designer, Linda Iverson, for an interactive tour of the Museum of the Rockies water-wise gardens. Learn about the philosophy behind each garden bed design and take a look at the efficient irrigation design that keeps these water-wise plants thriving, year after year. Plus, you’ll have a chance to ask questions along the way. Scheduled tour times at 10:30 and 11:30
3. Water Smart Irrigation Technology Demonstrations
Ready to take control of your irrigation timer? Need advice on existing issues within your irrigation system?Wondering how to convert your sprinklers to drip irrigation? If so, then these demonstrations are for YOU! Learn about each of these topics, and more, during our free hands-on irrigation demos with water conservation specialists.
4. Free Water-Wise Plant Exchange
If you’ve recently divided a perennial, identified surprise garden volunteers, or simply decided you want to remove a plant from your landscape, we encourage you to pot it up and bring it along to our water-wise plant exchange. Because sharing is caring, and sharing plants makes us (and the plants) happy!
5. Connect with Local Community Groups
Chat with local community groups and gardening experts from across the valley to gain local intel on important landscaping considerations. Learn about bird-friendly landscaping, invasive weed management, the importance of building healthy-living soil, and beyond!
